this is the day i feel so proud of him. seriously. the feeling of stepping in tekong today is so different from 3 mths ago where his parents and I sent him there. went his BMT passing out parade today, witnessed the march pass of all the various companies, there came Viper. I could hardly see him through my binoculars, but i noe he's there, marching for me and his parents. though i was with him throughout these 3 months of army life, i never gotta visualise how is his training like in tekong..wut i noe is wut sean described. finally i've gotten a picture..3 months of BMT is all about this parade..i understood. I was holding on to the binoculars throughout the parade, juz trying to get a glimpse of him marching. like watching jay chou concert. He's finally a man now :) hee.
the marching part is kinda boring, but the interesting part was their cheer. it was raining, and i believe they're all drenched. i always get vv touched when it is end of a school camp, where everyone cheered.. the unity reali touched me. same for their cheer. the whole lot of them stood so close together, packed like sardines, cheered and threw their jockey caps in the air. that scene is once in a lifetime, and touching, unless u haf more than 1 son/boyfriend who has gone thru army la. i'm reali glad to be part of this with him.. felt so happy to board the ferry with him back to mainland Singapore, after 3 months.. but..he stinks like hell becos of the sweat + the rain. in fact, the whole ferry stinks!! :) byebye to the days of a recruit! and 14 days of block leave is here!
