welcome to taiwan!
Sun, May 18th, Our Taiwan Trip Day 1

leaving Sg at 8.30am by Cathay Pacific Airway flight no. 710

we left the house at abt 5.30am for the airport..his dad and mom fetched us to the airport and we had Mr. Bean for breakfast.

our meal onboard ..carrot cake / yoghurt / cupcake / fruits!

reaching and transiting at HK at 1.10pm flight no. 564

our transit onboard meal..spaghetti with chicken!


arriving Taipei Taoyuan Intl Airport T1 @2.55pm

we took their Airport transfer bus called Freego..costs us NT140 each.

the interior of the bus is so cute! Freego bus brought us to dunno where to transfer to another smaller bus..the whole journey and waiting took us about 1.5 hrs..we reached our hotel at abt 4.30pm!

our first stop was this 四海游龙 锅贴专卖店 near our hotel! It was on the way to walk to 西门町 to check out the shops there after our meal..

we ordered 豆干丝, 2 cups of 冰豆浆, 12 锅贴 and 1 bowl of corn soup. the 锅贴 was only NT$4 each! arnd SGD$0.18. and of cos..the 锅贴 tastes way better than Sg's!

i cannot resist to buy bubble tea the moment i reach 西门町!

the prize of the toy-catching machine is this cute Doraemon wood mahjong set! you have to use the catcher to make the woodstock drop into the hole.

trying our luck..西门町 shopping area has tons of such toy-catching machine shops!

When night falls, we decided to leave 西门町 for 师大夜市. We bought their travel card called "easy card", 悠游卡 at NT$500. NT$100 is a refundable deposit :)


we had to transfer at this stop to Taipower Building and walk about 15mins to 师大夜市..
