Fri, May 23rd, Our Taiwan Trip Day 6

wanted to go Tai Chung for our last day..but we were left with abt NT$2600 each..so we decided that our last day will be free & easy for us..to explore and go those places that we have missed out or wanna visit again, like 士林夜市.

their Sogo is HUGE. we decided to find Jay Chou's shop! I have the address with me but we still lost our way due to the sucky map we took frm the airport. The receptionist at Sogo said that the official map is WRONG.

a kind soul frm this shop drew a simple map and gave us directions to Jay's shop.

we spent like almost an hour just to find this shop. note: the way to pronounce it is Phan-ta-c, not Phan-tac. the shop opens at only 2pm, and it was RAINING. so we went to the manicure salon for a manicure while we waited for the rain...

express manicure at only NT$150!

Dear bought a shirt frm Jay's shop for about S$60. The SA told us that it's his own brand. the shop also carries labels like Nike & Stussy..

We found Daiso while waiting for the rain to stop!

A very small and compact store. NT$39 is abt S$1.70, slightly cheaper than Daiso Singapore.
We decided to go back to our hotel, before we start on Part 2 of our last day. Damn chill hor. hehe.

in the lift on our way out for part 2..士林夜市!

rush hour..

free papers! =p

my fav beverage

dinner was at 士林 food square, which we did not go in Day 3. There's like 100 over stalls inside, damn packed with yummy food!!!

smelly beancurd. smelly from the heart.

TIME FOR SHOPPING!

famous dessert chain: 鲜芋仙

a BB call (pager) is given to you when you pay at the cashier..when it beeps, you'll have to make your way to collect your dessert..interesting concept.

grass jelly + condensed milk + taro balls. Thumbs up! though the taro balls is a little too Q like bubble tea pearls. but the milk tastes great.

going home.....

last shot of the Easycard before we surrender it for refund.

Taipei Underground Mall

look closer at the translation of the shop's name...-_-

buys for our last day in Taipei:

packing up is always messy. To pack and squeeze everything and get prepared for Hongkong!!
